How We Build It

The main structure is made from strong plywood. We put it together with wooden dowels and add glued blocks at all the corners. This old-school joinery is what keeps it solid and stops it from squeaking or getting wobbly down the line.

The seat cushions are firm-they use a 30kg/m³ foam so they won't go flat on you. The back cushions are a touch softer (25kg/m³ foam) and have a layer of fluffy fiberfill to make them nice and plush.

Under three seats, there's a hollow cavity. The lid is on heavy-duty piano hinges (they're tough) and has a little fabric loop to lift it. Inside, the box is lined so your things don't snag.
